September Community Update
Hello everyone! As we near the end of September, we’re excited to share a major development update and give everyone a look at what we’ve been working on behind the scenes!
SA:MP v1.1b introduces dynamic NPC encounters throughout the county. You may come across NPCs committing crimes, involved in collisions, suffering from overdoses, intoxicated, stranded, or simply needing emergency assistance, a taxi, or a bus. Players can interact with these situations, while faction members can provide treatment, make arrests, and transport those involved. If nobody is looking, you may even decide to rob them for cash and items—but be prepared to deal with the consequences!
We have also introduced Illegal Influence, our version of a turf system. Illegal factions can build influence throughout different areas by participating in roleplay activities, creating more opportunities, competition, and benefits for the illegal side of the server.
Another huge change is our new in-game account and application system! @Players no longer need to create their account through the UCP. You can now register your master account directly through the game server and use the same login information to access the UCP. After completing the in-game roleplay quiz, the staff team will automatically be notified through Discord and can review your application—even when no staff members are currently in-game. You spoke, and we listened! We hope this makes joining the server much easier for everyone who genuinely wants to interact, roleplay, and become part of the community.
These are only a few of the updates included in SA:MP v1.1b. Be sure to check the official changelog to view the full list of new features, adjustments, and fixes included in this update!
Now for what may be our biggest news of the year!
We originally planned to develop a county-based text roleplay server on RAGE:MP. However, due to the recent issues involving Rockstar and the uncertainty surrounding RAGE:MP’s future, we decided to shift our focus toward FiveM.
Over the past several days, we have been testing systems and exploring what it would take to create one of the few true text-based FiveM roleplay servers. You may have already noticed changes happening across the website, and those changes are being made to help prepare for the future of CO:LA.
We do not have much information to share about the FiveM project just yet, but we felt it was finally time to let everyone know what has been happening behind the scenes. This is only the beginning, and we’re excited to show you more as development continues!
